Niner Parent Pathways Haines Scholarship

The Niner Parent Pathways Haines Scholarship empowers parents of UNC Charlotte alumni or parents of current UNC Charlotte students to achieve their own educational aspirations by earning a degree through Charlotte Online.

You've spent years cheering from the sidelines. Now it's your turn.

Whether you postponed college to raise a family, support your children, or build a career, this scholarship is designed to help you take the next step: earning your bachelor's or master's degree through UNC Charlotte. Students of any major are encouraged to apply.

Financial Support
Receive a $1,000 scholarship to help offset educational expenses.
Renewable Funding
Eligible recipients may renew the scholarship for up to two additional years, providing continued support throughout their degree.
Flexible Online Learning Available
Earn your bachelor’s or master’s degree through Charlotte Online while balancing work, family and life. Any major.
Application Deadline
May 1

Who Can Apply?

You may be eligible if you:

✔ Are the parent of a current UNC Charlotte student or UNC Charlotte alumnus

✔ Are pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree at UNC Charlotte

✔ Meet the University’s scholarship eligibility requirements

Priority Consideration

Priority consideration may be given to applicants who:

  • Are enrolled in an online or in-person bachelor’s or master’s program
  • Postponed or paused their education because of family responsibilities
  • Are parents of current UNC Charlotte students or alumni
