Course participants watch seven videos and participate in discussion boards about the topics. Once they’ve earned their orange belt, many students continue their education through UNC Charlotte to earn higher-level belts.

UNC Charlotte’s Orange Belt Six Sigma certification course was designed by Dr. Jonathan Mayhorn. Dr. Mayhorn teaches all of our Lean Six Sigma belt courses, as well as some of our Project Management Professional certification prep courses. He is a certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, Project Management Professional and Scrum Master.

Our Orange Belt Six Sigma certification course is a seven-hour, self-paced online course. You can complete the course in one day, or break it into smaller segments around your schedule. Register at any time and learn at your own pace. There are no prerequisites for you to take the Orange Belt certification course. To earn the certification, you must score at least 70% on the exam at the end of the course.
